Jordan Brand is launching a new limited edition Air Jordan 4 Retro during Spring 2026, this time using the “LA Lakers” nickname.
UPDATE 20/06/2025: According to zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, the model is indeed inspired by the LA Lakers team and is set to release during Spring 2026. See below a new image of the pair as we wait for more details about the release.
Nike continues to release new colorways of the Air Jordan 4, which remains one of the most popular models in the brand’s catalog. According to multiple industry sources, the brand is set to release an Air Jordan 4 with an “LA Lakers” theme during Spring 2026. The information about the new Air Jordan 4 was published exclusively on Sneaker Market Romania in collaboration with Brandon1an (via X, formerly Twitter).
The model comes with product code FV5029-500 and uses the “Imperial Purple” colorway. At the moment, the color blocking is not known. However, we already have a first image showing a possible design for the shoes. We expect the shoe to have a Los Angeles Lakers theme. The Imperial Purple color was last used on a pair of Nike Kobe 6. For now, Nike has not confirmed the rumors about the new release. In general, the company avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition releases. Nevertheless, several retailers have already confirmed the launch, adding the model to their release calendars for 2026.
When is Air Jordan 4 Retro “LA Lakers” releasing?
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "LA Lakers" is releasing during Spring 2026 on Nike.com and at select Air Jordan Retro partner stores. For now, the brand has not yet announced an exact release date. However, we already know that the new colorway is part of the Nike Spring 2026 seasonal catalog. As a result, the pair will release sometime between January and March.
