Nike Becomes New Supplier for German Football Federation 2027

The German Football Association (DFB, short for Deutsche Fußball-Bund) will enter into a kit partnership with Nike from 2027 to 2034. Nike will supply kits for all DFB national teams and will help the federation promote football.

Dr. Holger Blask, Chairman of the DFB Executive Board, explains: “The selection of Nike as our future equipment partner is the result of a transparent and non-discriminatory tender process. Nike submitted by far the best financial offer and also convinced us with its vision, which includes a clear commitment to promoting amateur and grassroots sports, as well as to the sustainable development of women’s football in Germany. The tender schedule is standard in terms of planning and implementation deadlines and was discussed in advance with all relevant market participants.”

DFB treasurer Stephan Grunwald stated: “With the 7.3 million people it represents, the DFB is a central social organization and has a unique selling point among sports associations: it provides financial support to its members and is not funded by them. This helps keep football a popular sport and makes it possible to offer club memberships at affordable rates. We are grateful that, thanks to Nike’s promised commitment, we can once again look ahead to an economically stable future as an association”.

When is the Nike partnership with the German Football Federation starting?

DFB President Bernd Neuendorf stated: “We look forward to working with Nike and we appreciate the trust they have placed in us. The future partnership will allow the DFB to continue carrying out key tasks over the next decade with a view to developing football in Germany. But one thing is also clear: until December 2026, we will be fully committed to the shared success of our current and long-standing partner, Adidas, to whom German football has owed a great deal for more than seven decades.”
