Following their successful New Balance 9060 collaboration at the beginning of 2023, Bricks & Wood are teaming up with New Balance once again on a New Balance 1906.
The first teaser for the new collaboration officially appeared on X (formerly Twitter) in January 2024. There, the Bricks & Wood account posted a photo of butterfly wings together with the New Balance by Bricks & Wood logo. Later, in July on X (formerly Twitter), they clarified that they will launch three collaborations with New Balance starting during the Fall season. For now, the three New Balance models are still unknown. After seeing the special box (via kaceylynch on Instagram) in August, we now also have images of the first pair, a New Balance 1906, shared by the designer (via w.danib on Instagram).
The Bricks & Wood x New Balance 1906 comes with a colorful upper, using shades of green, red and yellow. The color scheme is inspired by the Madagascan sunset moth. The sneakers are constructed from black mesh, using rope laces. A pink debossed Bricks & Wood logo appears on the heel. The lateral New Balance logo is done in neon green. This color also appears on the N logo at the toe. Both the midsole and outsole are entirely black. For now, the two brands have not yet announced an exact release date.
When is the Bricks & Wood x New Balance 1906 releasing?
The Bricks & Wood x New Balance 1906 is scheduled to release during Fall 2024 on the New Balance website and at select New Balance Lifestyle partner retailers. At the moment, the release date has not yet been announced by the two brands. However, Bricks & Wood has announced that they will launch the collaborations between October 2024 and February 2025. As a result, it is possible that the first release will take place soon. See the first images of the Bricks & Wood x New Balance 1906 below (via w.danib on Instagram) as we wait for more details about the launch.
