Multiple silhouettes have helped catapult New Balance into the mainstream of streetwear over the past few years. Remastered classics with roots tied to the hardwood have quickly shifted to the forefront of its heralded lifestyle lineup. This rendition of the late 80’s staple of the New Balance 550 receives a simple ensemble of the grey scale spectrum.
Perforated white leather, paired with matching stitching, covers most of the model’s upper. Black accents highlight the “N” logo and quarter trim for a bolder look. The back half of the sneaker goes for an aged aesthetic, with cream-colored nylon on the tongue and foxing sitting beneath smoke grey overlays and a lighter-toned heel counter. Underfoot, a faded white midsole sits above a segmented outsole with a two-tone grey setup, finishing off this clean, straightforward take on the New Balance 550.
