Having recently launched the first batch of his New Balance Made In USA collection, Teddy Santis is set to release another 990v3 in a “Sea Salt” and “Rain Cloud” color combination.
Unlike its predecessors, the upcoming sneakers indulge in a breathable mesh and high-quality leather mix across the upper, abandoning the use of New Balance‘s signature pig suede. Varying shades of grey land via profile “N” logos, reflective strips around the heel and other supporting components, creating an ensemble that resembles thisisneverthat’s 2002R collaboration from September 2021. Furthermore, sole units are given a partly-yellowed finish in order to achieve the “aged” look that Santis has employed across his Aimé Leon Dore collaborations. As with other Teddy Santis New Balance projects, branding on the sock-liner is given a slight update to distinguish the 990v3 from other offerings currently being sold.
