New Balance is collaborating with Amsterdam-based designer Danielle Cathari, launching together a New Balance 991 inspired by Matcha.
Alongside her own brand, Daniëlle Cathari is known as the Creative Director for KITH Women’s. She is making her debut partnership with New Balance on the Made in UK 991v2 model in a new color scheme. This limited-edition pair features a soft suede upper complemented by mesh overlays. Inspired by Daniëlle’s love for pastries, the colorway is composed of rich shades of "Pistachio" and "Chocolate Brown". To celebrate the launch, a special pastry will also be available for a limited time at the Kith Women Flagship Store. Daniëlle worked with Queens-based bakery Kora to create the "Catharitozzi" – a custom pastry inspired by the color palette featured on the New Balance 991v2 pair.
When is the New Balance x Danielle Cathari 991v2 Matcha releasing?
The New Balance x Danielle Cathari 991v2 "Matcha" is releasing on February 9, 2024 on the KITH app. Certain sizes will also be available on February 9 at the Kith Women store in New York for a retail price of 250 dollars.
